Eclectic loft in Lancaster Gate

The brief was to create a fun, eclectic space for the client and his young children. It was important for it to be stylishly quirky, with an understated elegance.

This was achieved by replacing a spiral staircase with a steel and oak staircase, introducing skylights and rooftop windows to bring the outside in.

The kitchen was revamped with an antique green mirror splash back and multi-coloured handles. Further strong colours were introduced using vintage chandeliers, furniture from B & B Italia, Ochre and Marie’s Corner, all of which created a fun and stylish space for friends and family.

Texture was added to the dreamy attic master bedroom with seagrass wall covering and purple crocodile door covering for the fronts of the wardrobes and cupboard doors, with funky glass handles.

A bespoke reclaimed oak bed set the tone of the room, and the low lying ceilings enabled the installation of an irresistible playful swing for the client (who has never quite grown up !!!!). A contemporary chaise made by Marie’s Corner completed the scheme, enabling the perfect space for snuggling down with a great book.

The en-suite bathroom was revamped using beautiful mother of pearl tiles for the splash back.

The entrance hall was given a blast of lush green with Real Moss artwork.
