WHY SHOULD I USE AN INTERIOR DESIGNER?

An interior designer can help you save time and money by improving the effectiveness, accessibility, functionality and aesthetic appeal of your space in a way that ensures safety and optimal use.

To create an interior design scheme for your project, the designer will consider the intended function of your space to curate an environment that is fit for purpose, as well as considering how the scheme can positively impact the way you live and enjoy living whilst also reflecting your unique style.

The designer will also address sustainability and environmental impact, and ensure compliance with all related health & safety codes, building regulations and installation requirements.

WHICH SERVICES ARE INCLUDED?

At MIMOS INTERIORS, our interior design services include the following, where applicable:

  • Furniture layout

  • Wall finishes

  • Floor finishes

  • Lighting design

  • Window treatments

  • Furniture, fabrics, lighting, soft furnishings, rugs

  • Artwork and mirrors

  • Christmas decoration.

HOW WILL MIMOS INTERIORS HELP ME?

MIMOS INTERIORS offers a bespoke interior design service based on your particular requirements. This includes:

  • a free initial telephone call or email exchange to discuss your project

  • an on-site consultation to scope the project and refine the brief, timetable and costings

  • a fully costed and timetabled scheme proposal and mood board.

Once the scheme is agreed, we will organise the appropriate trades and crafts people to carry out the work, place orders for products, source artwork, liaise and arrange deliveries with suppliers and oversee the project from start to finish.

WHAT IS A MOOD BOARD?

A mood board helps to establish your colour palette, key pieces, main furniture, textiles and the overall look and feel of your room to give you a good starting point from which to visualise your project. It is essentially a visual collection of all the design elements suggested for your space so you can see how they work together.

It will incorporate:

  • Examples of rooms that have the proposed look

  • Specific furniture pieces

  • Textiles and pattern suggestions

  • Specific paint colours

  • Existing finishes or pieces of furniture that will remain in the space.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

Our fees depend on the work involved; no project is too big or too small and we are delighted to work on individual rooms as well as complete refurbishments.

We charge an hourly rate of £95 per hour for elements such as design, co-ordination, meetings, site visits and travel. These elements will all be costed out and clearly shown when we quote for your project, and a budget will be agreed with you in advance of the works commencing.
